“World Ozone Day”

The Department of Life Sciences celebrated “World Ozone Day” on 16 September 2017 as part of Saturday activity with objectives to train students for the development of their imagination, creativity, analytical thinking and written communication. World Ozone Day was established by the United Nations General Assembly and has been celebrated since 1994. The day is mainly intended to spread awareness of the depletion of the ozone layer and to find out solutions for its prevention.

  Essay Writing & Poster Making Competitions were organized on the  theme “Ozone Depletion”. Twenty-two students took part in this activity with great enthusiasm. The winner of Essay Writing Competition was Rajesh Makwana from B.Sc. I Semester & Poster Making Competition was Bulbul and her team from B.Sc. I Semester. The activities were organized under the supervision of Dr Sonu Chouhan & Prof. Urvashi Anand.
