Plagiarism and Impact of Research and Reference Management (Mendeley)
Department of Library Science, Mandsaur University has organized One Day National Workshop on Plagiarism and Impact of Research and Reference Management using Mendeley. The chief guests of the inaugural session were Mr. Vibhuti Bhushan Patnaik from JNU, New Delhi, Dr. D.K. Sharma, Madhav University, Sirohi (Rajasthan) and Mr. Santosh Samrat from IIT Roorkee. Chairpersons of the session were Hon’ble Chancellor Shree Narendra Nahata and Vice Chancellor, Prof. D.K. Patnaik of Mandsaur University.
In the welcome speech Dr Ashwani Yadav HOD library MU, Mandsaur, introduced the guests and threw light on the importance of the workshop. Hon’ble Chancellor Shree Narendra Nahata outlined the importance of the plagiarism & research as per the present scenario and emphasized on organizing such type of workshop in the future also. Vice-chancellor Prof. D. K. Patnaik insisted on the usages of plagiarism software’s and how to secure your content and make more authentic as per standard protocols. The chief guests of the workshop Mr. Vibhuti Bhushan Patnaik in his key speech enlightened on the importance of Mendeley software in relation to Plagiarism in detail.
All the chief guests and vice chancellor Prof. D.K. Patnaik unveiled a new book entitled “Foundation of Library and Information Science” authored by Dr. Ashwani Yadav (HOD – Library Science Department).
Convener of the workshop Mr Pradeep Kumar Gupta presented vote of thanks and informed to everyone present that this type of workshop is first of its kind in the whole Madhya Pradesh.
