Visit to Faculty of Pharmacy
The objective of the visit was to understand the sophisticated instrumentation facility available at faculty of pharmacy and interdisciplinary relationship between pharmacy and life sciences. Students understood about the pharmacy laboratories and animal house required for drug production and testing.The students of M. Sc. Biotechnology/Microbiology I Sem and B. Sc (Honours) Biotechnology/Microbiology I sem visited the sophisticate instrumentation facility, Pharmacy laboratories and animal house of pharmacy department MU, Mandsaur on 16th Oct 2019.
In the beginning, Dr. Amit Jain, Director, Faculty of Pharmacy, interacted with students and discussed about the interdisciplinary relationship between pharmacy and life sciences. He also discussed about the huge opportunities available in the pharmaceutical industries for the life sciences students. During the visit, students have seen various instrument viz. HPLC, HPTLC, FTIR, Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer, FBD, Spray drier, Viscosity meter, Moisture balance, Tablet Machine etc. and instruments required for animal studies. Student also visited the state of art library of faculty of Pharmacy. Dr. Priyanka Soni, Dr. Lokendra Singh Chundawat and Dr. Rahul Trivedi explain very methodically about the working of all instrument, laboratories and animal house.
