Brief Description / Remarks:

Department of Physical Education, Mandsaur University organized a “Two Days National Webinar on Yoga for Healthy Lifestyle in Current Scenario” connection with International Yoga Day on 20 & 21 June 2021. In the webinar, the resource person Dr. Ashok Kapta (Principal), HBT Arts & Commerce College New Subhadar Layout Nagpur, Maharashtra was spoken about Yoga for Healthy Lifestyle,  Dr. T. Parasuraman, Assistant Professor, School of Physical Education, Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India was spoken about Fitness & Wellness and Dr. L. Shila devi, Assistant Professor, Department of Physical Education, Mandsaur University, Mandsaur, M.P. was give yoga demonstration on practical session. The programmes were covered on YouTube live. All the sessions were given such a good platform to all the participants to learn and understanding about yoga and its benefits and all the techniques and procedures. The participation was from almost all states in India and mostly from states like Andhra Pradesh, Chandigarh, Chhattisgarh, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Nagaland, Odisha, Puducherry, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal etc. We are giving a big appreciation to Mr. Praveen Bharagava, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science and Applications, Mandsaur University for helping us in Technical areas.

Outcome: Recognizing its universal appeal, on 11 December 2014, the United Nations proclaimed 21 June as the International Day of Yoga by resolution 69/131. The International Day of Yoga aims to raise awareness worldwide of the many benefits of practicing yoga. The art of practicing yoga helps in controlling an individual’s mind, body and soul. It brings together physical and mental disciplines to achieve a peaceful body and mind; it helps manage stress and anxiety and keeps you relaxing. It also helps in increasing flexibility, muscle strength and body tone.

No. of participants: 356 participants from 23 states all over India and we are providing                         E- Certificate to all the participants.
