Brief description / remarks:
Faculty of Life Sciences has conducted Mock Test and Interview based on seed technology in the series of departmental Training and Placement activity for Final year students. The activity was conducted on 20th February, 2021. Mock test of 30 minutes followed by Mock Interviews for all the students were organized. A total of thirteen students from B.Sc. (Hons.) Microbiology and Biotechnology VI semester participated in the activity. In the mock test, students were asked to attempt multiple choice questions based on Seed Technology. After the completion of the test, students were called one by one based on their marks in the test for the personal interview. A two members committee was constituted to check their gesture and posture. The jury members guided the students about appropriate gesture and posture those to be used during an interview. The jury focused on stand, walk, sit, facial expression, talk, and use of hand; gestures and postures during interview. According to these mentioned criteria or category, marks were given to each category and these marks were discussed with student. The jury suggested many points for the improvement to students.
The member interviewer/ Jury for the event were Dr. Ganshyam Prajapat (Assistant Professor) and Mr. Yogendra Kumar Verma (Assistant Professor), Faculty of Life Sciences, Mandsaur University.
Such types of mock interviews will helps students to learn which type of gesture and posture are appropriate during interview. Students also learn inappropriate gesture and posture those should be not used during interview. These type of practice interviews before the real interview will help students to avoid mistakes and improve their chances of getting hired.
