Brief description / remarks:

Faculty of Business Administration and Commerce organized a virtualNational Workshop on Research Methodology: A Trail for Research to Publication on July 6, 2021, which was emphasized onbasics of research methodology and data analysis.
The key purpose behind this workshop was to impart knowledge about the basics of research methodology, data analysis and research ethics to the Ph. D. research scholars of Mandsaur University as well as from other university.
Session was started at 11.00 am through Google Meet. At first Dr. Mukesh K. Sharma, Dean and Convener, welcomed the participants and highlighted the theme of workshop. Then, keynote speaker Dr. Azhar A. Sheikh, Assistant Professor, Mandsaur University took a two-hour session in which he covered the various important aspects of research i.e., identification of research problem, importance of review of literature, referencing style, hypothesis formulation, data types, sources of data collection, statistical tools for data analysis, research report writing, research ethics and concept of plagiarism. He explained the whole research process with live and practical examples along with objective-wise analysis which will help research scholars not only in drafting their research objectives correctly but also in selection of appropriate statistical tool for data analysis. Dr. Sheikh also discussed various issues related to the research ethics and the plagiarism in research report. After concluding the session speaker also answered the queries raised by the participants. At the end of session vote of thanks was given by Dr. Gopal K. Rathore. All the faculty members of department were also attended the session and Ms. Roopshikha Sharma, Student, MBA II Semester compered the workshop.

Outcome :

  • Participantsgained the knowledge aboutthe various concepts of research and report writing.
  • Learnt about the issues of plagiarism in research report and data analysis softwares’.
