Brief description / remarks:

The training program is defined as an activity or activities that include undertaking one or a series of courses to boost performance, productivity, skills, and knowledge. Training is a program that helps employees learn specific knowledge or skills to improve performance in their current roles.

The Faculty of B.Ed. has organized a Co-curricular Activity entitled “Training programme of scout and guide” on 20 February, 2021 for the students of B.Ed. I Sem. and IV Sem. During scout and guide training Mr. N. D. Vaishnav gave information about various disciplines of scout, He told that a man can remain attached to a scout / guide for lifetime from the age of 3 years. The children who are 3 years to 5 years old are given training as bunnies. Children of 5 to 10 years of age are trained as cubs and Bulbul. Children from the age of 10 to 17 years are given the name of Scout / Guide. The group of 15 to 20 years is known as Rovers and Rangers, he said that these types of teams are also being run all over the district. In this, training is being given to the children till the first step, second step, third step, Governor’s Award and President’s Award. He told that students can join any social scout and give their support in service and nation building. Vinod Joshi, who is conducting the program, gave information about vows, flag songs and God prayers (Daya kar dan bhakti ka hume parmatma dena…………). Girdhari Lal Bhavsar gave information about yoga and also taught many yoga poses (Bow Pose, Matsyendrasana and Hasyayoga), Manohar Lal Sharma gave information about the organization and Peter Bhuria also contributed in the program.

All the students participated in Scout and Guide’s training program with great enthusiasm and took advantage of it. Students learned how to stay restrained even in adverse situations and they also learn how can we live healthy and healthy life through Yoga.

Head of B.Ed. Department Dr. Aradhana Sethi, Anil Babu (Assist. Prof.), Sanjay Kumar (Assist. Prof.), Harish Kumar Verma, Dr. Jaideep Mahar, Dr. C.S Bhati, Ashish Bhaskar, Dr. Jyoti Sengar and Meeta Parikh also participated in this one-day training camp.

Outcome :

1. All the participants actively participate in the activity. It helps to acquire the knowledge of scout and guide. After this programme students became more confident and responsible. They also make broader set of friends. Scout and guide help to develop social skills and encourage self-sufficiency, and give them access to activities and opportunities that have been made them diligent.
