This atmosphere attracts potential workers who seek out that environment.
This subject isunique and in today’s scenario everybody wants to start their own business, thus The Faculty of Life Sciences has organized an online National Webinar entitled “Startup Opportunities in Biotechnology Sector towards Atmanirbhar Bharat” on27thJuly 2020 for the university students, research scholar, researchers and faculty members across the world. The key speaker for the event was a renowned Scientist, Academician and Industrialist,Dr. ShailendraVyas, CEO and Director, Bioheaven 360 Genotec Pvt. Ltd. New Delhi.
The basic objective of this webinar was to provideknowledge about how one can start their own business.The program was coordinated by Dr. Khushdil Khan, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Life Science,Mandsaur University.Initially, he welcomed all the participants and introduced the keynote speakerDr. ShailendraVyas. In his opening remark,Dr. Shekhar Jain, Head, Faculty of Life Sciences,briefed about the Mandsaur University and expressed gratitude toDr. ShailendraVyas for accepting invitation. During the talk, Dr. Vyasdiscussedin detail about theInnovations in the field of Biotechnology sector. He also focused on how biotechnology startup grows, what are the basic requirements and how to fulfill them. In his presentation he focused on market size estimation and marketing strategies how we can commercialize product at large scale. He also gave a brief description about corporate finance and investment banking from where one can get grant for his startup. He also focused on government funding agencies and about PPP model. In his lecture he suggested to whom you have to sell your products, scaling up production and money flow in the market. He gave a short idea about his startup i.e.Bioheaven 360 genotecpvt Ltd. and his new venture Biotechnology and Bio-organics. He also briefed about the current scenario of the world and explained elaborately his scientific findingson Osteoporosis and its possible cure.During the question-answer session,Dr. Vyasinteracted with all the participants and answered all the questions raised in a very elaborative and informative way.
The webinar was finally concluded by Dr. Khushdil Khanby expressing vote of thanks to the keynote speaker and all the participants.In total 1309participants from different states of India and from different countries get registered for the webinar.
Outcome: Biotechnology is an emerging field now a days, there are large number of opportunities available in this field, not only in the academics but also in the field of startups, due to the lack of knowledge people are not getting the benefits of Government funding schemes for their startupsSuch type of webinars make awareness about how a small idea can be converted into a business idea. Such type of National webinar also helps us to get exposure at national as well as international level. Positive feedbacks were received from all participants by various means like telephonic calls, WhatsApp messages, chat comments, feedback form and mails.
