Faculty of Business Administration and Commerce organized a Webinar on “MSME: Opportunities and Challenges”. The webinar was intended to provide knowledge about Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a significant role in the economic growth of the country owing to their contribution to production, exports and employment. The webinar also focused on various schemes for MSME. The webinar was started at 11.00 o’clock by welcoming of all participants. Welcome address was given by Ms. Shikha Machhopuriya (Faculty, DBMC), Dr. Mukesh Sharma (Convener of webinar), presented the theme of webinar and highlighted the key points.

Resource person of webinar CS Raghav Chaturvedi explained about What MSME is ?,the definition of MSME earlier & after COVID 19,the classification between Micro, Small & Medium enterprises according to present criteria based on investment & annual turnover. CS Raghav Chaturvedi also highlighted various schemes of MSME like credit guarantee scheme (CGSMSME), prime minister employment generation scheme, credit linked capital subsidy scheme, international corporation scheme, standup India scheme etc. He also discussed about the collateral free loans, interest rate, various subsidies, no tender document fee, Exemption from earnest money deposit and many more. The session was interactive in nature where participants asked various questions and resource person answered all the queries with relevant examples. Prof. Saurabh Mishra (Faculty, DBMC) presented a vote of thanks.

In this webinar total 779 participants were registered out of which 527 were present during the live session. The participants were from Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Punjab, Kerala, Delhi Mumbai etc. The webinar was conducted on Google meet app & live streaming on you tube.


Outcome :

·         The webinar is helpful for academicians and students to understand the present schemes to register under MSME.

·         It will persuade the participants towards research in investment in MSME sector.
