Molecular Detection and Characterization of Major Citrus Plants

Department of Life Sciences organized a seminar on “Molecular Detection and Characterization of Major Citrus Plants” for all students of Faculty of Life Sciences on 10-04-2019 by Dr. Ashish Warghane, Asst. Professor, Faculty of Life Sciences, Mandsaur University. Dr. Ashish Warghane, recently joined faculty member of Life Science department, was the speaker of research seminar. Dr. Warghane talked about his Ph.D. research work on “Molecular detection and characterization of major citrus pathogens”. Dr. Warghane showed the novel molecular detection methods (e.g., LAMP and Duplex PCR methods) for Citrus Tristeza Virus and citrus bacterial pathogens Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus. After end of the presentation, students and faculties were interacted with the speaker to discuss the research work in details by asking questions.

Dr. Shekhar Jain, HOD, Department of Life Sciences, Dr. Taniya Sengupta Rathore, Asst. Professor, Mrs. Farha Ansari, Asst. Professor, Ms. Heena Shah, Asst. Professor, and Mrs. Meenakshi Jain, Asst. Professor attended the program and assisted in the smooth conduction of the same. Dr. Brajogopal Samanta was the Coordinator of the event.
