Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering organized Online International Webinar for the Students and Faculty members of all streams on the topic “Introduction to Internet of Things (IOT) and its Application” on July 07, 2020. Out of 1314 registered participant 207 participated in webinar from various states Telangana, UP, Tamilnadu, Rajasthan, Odisha, Gujrat, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Punjab, Andhrapradesh and MP.
The primary objective of this webinar was to introduce the IOT and its application. The Internet of Things (IOT) is important topic in technology industry, policy and engineering circles. Speaker told that IOT has stepped out of its infancy and is on the verge of transforming the current static Internet into a fully integrated Future Internet. He focus that a radical evolution of the current Internet into a Network of interconnected objects that not only harvests information from the sensing and interacts with the physical world (actuation/command/control) but also uses existing Internet standards to provide services for information transfer, analytics, applications, and communications.
Dr. Nayyar has shown his own IOT laboratory views during session and his current research in submarine for IOT application.

Outcome: The webinar presents overview of recent trends in IOT technology.
• The exposure of IOT interfacing with various sensors brings closer the vision of an Internet of Things.

• IOT is an ideal emerging technology to influence this domain by providing new evolving data and the required computational resources for creating revolutionary apps.
