Brief description/ Remarks:

Faculty of Life Science in collaboration with Microbiologist Society, India (MSI) has organized the “International Essay Competition” entitled “The COVID-19 Vaccine: Present and Future”. Students and professionals Life sciences from all around the world participated in the competition. The competition was conducted in two categories, Category I (B.Sc./M.Sc./ B.Tech/ M.Tech students of Microbiology/Biotechnology/ Biochemistry) and Category II (Ph. D. Scholars/ Academicians/ Scientist/ Industry personnel of Microbiology/ Biotechnology / Biochemistry).

First, brouchers of competition was prepared and distributed online though different online platform viz. Email, Whatsup group, Intagram and Facebook. Participants submitted their essays in pdf file. Total 144 students and professionals from 13 states of India, Bangladesh, China and Nepal have participated in the competition. Essays were evaluated by the eight experts of life sciences from different Universities and institutions of India and result was prepared accordingly. The winners, first, second and third was awarded by the certificate of rank and mementoes. The participation certificate given to all participants. The certificates distributed via E-mail and all mementos were sent by Indian post to respective winners of the competition. The competition was sponsored by the Microbiologist society, India

Faculty Life Sciences, Mandsaur university, Mandsaur thankful to Dr. A.M. Deshmukh, President, Microbiologist Society, India for collaborating with us for conducting International Essay Competition. Dr. Ashish Warghane, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Life Sciences, MU served as a Coordinator, where as Dr. Shekhar Jain, HOD, faculty of Life Sciences, MU, Dr. Nandini Phanse, State Convener, (MSI) Head, Dept. of Microbiology, PMB Gujrati Science College, Indore, M.P.  and   Dr. A. M. Deshmukh, President, MSI, Osmanabad, Maharashtra, India served as Convener for the competition.

Outcome: Such type of the international competitions helps Faculty of Life Sciences and Mandsaur University to recognize at International level. Such events help students to strengthen the writing skill and knowledge regarding burning topic such as The Covid-19 Vaccine. Such type of collaborative events helps to developed international, national contacts and strengthens the collaborations with different societies, international universities and organizations.
