Second Day of  “International Conference on Empowerment through Education, Ethics & Entrepreneurship – The Next Agenda for BRICS” (IC-4E)

Visit to Campus-II:

While the proceedings of the paper presentations by the Faculty & students of Mandsaur University went on at the main venue, Prof. Olga G. Leonova, Chief Guest at the IC4E was taken to a visit of Campus-II along with Registrar Dr. Dilip Kumar Patnaik and other colleagues.

Ayurveda:

The visit began by reaching Mandsaur Institute of Ayurveda Education & Research (MIAER) campus. The guest was welcomed in a traditional Indian way with a ‘tika’ on the forehead and a flower garland. After performing Dhanvantari Pooja, a presentation was made by Dr. Pallavi Chowgule about the science of Ayurveda. This followed a visit to Rasa Shala (Ayurvedic Pharmacy) of the Institute.

The highlight of the visit was a practical demonstration of Panch Karma therapy on a lady patient that impressed Prof. Leonova a lot. Having a breakfast of sprouted grams, Prof. Leonova showed keen interest in exploring the possibility of collaboration for Ayurveda education with Moscow University. The students of Ayurveda had decorated the venue with eye-catching Rangolis.

Pharmacy:

Prof. Leonova visited the Pharmacy College premises too with a  traditional welcome.  She was taken on a visit to various laboratories including Biochemistry Lab. and Central Sophisticated Instrument Lab. by Dr. Manish Soni, Director-BRNCOP.  Then the visiting group saw Animal House, to see the status of current research on animals. Ongoing research projects and the facilities available at Institute were also discussed in detail, along with recent scenario of the Indian pharmaceutical market.  Prof. Leonova was pleased to know that the Pharmacy Institute is bringing our three quality scientific journals.

Mandsaur International School:

Prof. Leonova was delighted to visit Mandsaur International school (MIS) and see the impressive artwork produced by the tiny tots. Principal, Rajesh Joshi and senior teachers and students welcomed Prof. Leonova in a traditional way. She was glad to know the teaching pattern that school is following for students’ self-learning and learning without stress. She appreciated that school is working for the happiness also along with knowledge. Prof. Leonova interacted with the students and teachers and appreciated the initiatives being taken by MIS for overall development of the students. She was presented a memento and traditional hand painting.

Conference Technical Session – III:

After a hectic first day with such good learning from the guest speakers, it was the turn of Mandsaur University faculty members and students to showcase their presentation skills in diverse topics. Dr. R.A. Sharma, Director-Agriculture, and Dr. Shailendra Sharma, Dean of Academic Affairs together conducted the proceedings.

Faculty members who presented papers were Dr. Haider Hussain, Mr. Sanjeev Singh Chouhan, Dr. Lokeshwar Singh Jodhana, Mr. Tapesh K. Dubey, Mr. Kamlesh Patidar, Ms. Nazma Mansuri, Mr. Anurag Trivedi, and Ms. Aastha Sharma. The topics covered included Quality in Education, Entrepreneurship, Tourism, Ethical leadership, Women Empowerment etc.

More than a dozen student groups of co-authors also made effective presentations which included topics like Empowerment through Entrepreneurship, Transformation of Indian Education System, Ethical framework, Pharmacy entrepreneurship etc.

Valedictory Session:

Guest of Honour Mr. Rajat Mukherji, Sr. Divisional Manager, LIC India, Indore enthralled the audience with his motivational speech. He urged the students to aim for higher goals, and described career opportunities available with LIC. Mr. Mukherji also gave details of social empowerment initiatives of LIC.

This was followed by an interesting question-answer session held with the participants by the panel members Er. Rahul Nahata- Executive Chairman; Prof. Olga Leonova from Moscow; Mr. Rajat Mukherji from LIC; Dr. Dilip Kumar Patnaik-Registrar; and Prof. Jagdish Khatri-Convener.

The highlight of the session was an admission by Prof. Leonova that now onwards, if someone asks where is Mandsaur, I will reply that it’s very near to Moscow. She invited Chancellor and all senior officials to attend forthcoming Globalistics Congress at Moscow in September 2017.

Presiding the valedictory session, Executive Chairman, Mandsaur University Er. Rahul Nahata mentioned in detail the historic relationship India has shared with Russia, and thanked Prof. Leonova and Moscow State University for all the cooperation and support extended.

The Conference ended with a lively vote of thanks by Conference Coordinator Prof. Tapesh K. Dubey
