Industrial Visit to Parle Biscuits Pvt. Ltd. Neemrana (NCR)
Faculty of Business Management & Commerce organized an Industrial visit for MBA Students on 26th Feb 2019 – 27th Feb to Parle biscuits located at Neemrana, NH-8 (Jaipur to Delhi).
Two faculty Members along with 15 students left for visit on 25th Feb at 4.00 PM by Ashok Travels and took around 12 hours to cover the whole distance. At the very beginning detailed session was taken by HR Executive, Ms. Shikha Bhardwaj in conference room. Ms. Bhardwaj highlighted the history & profile of Parle group through projector and also shared career perspective talks with students. After the session technical in-charge of Parle biscuits unit and Candy unit of company helped students in understanding the manufacturing process and how it reaches the customers through Parle Depot. Trainer of units explained Manufacturing process of biscuits which comprises 6 stages – raw material testing, mixing, molding, backing, cooling & packing. It took around 4.00 Hrs to visit whole manufacturing process including HR session.
At the end HR executive had discussion with the students in which the students raised various questions related to labour welfare, labour turnover, wastage treatment, annual turnover, major export countries etc. HoD, Prof. Avinash Vikram presented a memento of “Lord Pashupatinath” to HR of the company and Dr. Mukesh Sharma extended vote of thanks to the company and its staff for providing a platform to our students.
After the visit students along with faculties went to Ambience Mall Gurugram and returned to Neemrana for stay. On the second day of visit group went to Red Fort Delhi, Chandani Chowk, Sadar Bazaar and returned to Mandsaur by train.
The trip was highly useful for the students in terms of practical exposure and will also be helpful for placements and internship in near future . From the department Two faculty members Prof. Avinash Vikram and Dr. Mukesh Sharma were staff coordinators.
