FTIR (Fourier-transform infrared) Instrument
This session was organized for Students of VIII Sem., who are appearing in various interviews process for quality control and pharmaceutical production. By this type of activity student will learn about the theoretical as well as practical aspects of the FTIR (Fourier-transform infrared) Instrument. During the demonstration Mr. Karan Gupta taught the students about principal and working mechanism of Sophisticated Instruments. It is the most widely used technique in organic chemistry for the elucidation of structure of unknown compound by producing its IR spectrum or also called as emission spectrum. This technique measures the absorption of infrared radiation by the sample material versus wavelength. The infrared absorption bands identify molecular components and structures. At the end, students were able to answer about the basics of FTIR Spectroscopy.
