Department of Fashion Design organized a Webinar on “Fashion Industry and Role of Budding Designers to make India Self-Reliant after Pandemic

It was organized for the students to learn about the opportunities and make them aware about working conditions in the fashion industry after a pandemic. The entire session was interactive, focusing on the aspects and career options in the field of fashion design.
Recourse person Ms. Ishita Kapoor enlightened the students about her fashion career and told that the pandemic will definitely put the brakes on the industry for a while. It will take some time before it bounce back, however in the meantime, artificial intelligence will make a foray into the fashion world and the newcomers should update themselves with the new technology. She also explained different areas for the job in fashion industry like Merchandiser, Sustainable fashion, Stylist, Fashion Blogger, Contents writer etc. and how we can start our own designing label.
In the webinar total, 70 students were registered from the various places out of which 52 students were present during the webinar.

Outcome: The webinar has a tremendous impact on upcoming fashion students.
