The mission of the Faculty is to educate veterinary students and to promote scientific knowledge in the field of veterinary science. The members of the Faculty strive to provide education within a research environment for the benefit of the veterinary profession, the national economy and the local society. They aim to balance the requirements for research, teaching and clinical work, whilst reaching their full academic potential and excellence.

Faculty of veterinary mission is to graduate veterinary students who have excellent clinical skills and a wide base veterinary knowledge that enable them to excel in the work place worldwide. Our curriculum and learning objectives are focused on improving animal and human health. The objectives of the University were to improve animal health and productivity by rather focusing our efforts on increasing efficiency and reducing the cost of animal production. This is fundamental functions of providing high standard veterinary clinical education to graduate and undergraduate students and companionate veterinary care to our animal patients. Our Faculty members are highly trained professionals in all aspects of Veterinary Medicine. The Faculty encourages innovative scientific research and discovery in all fields that lead to advancement of human understanding of animal disease and disease prevention. Research emphasis has been placed on improving animal health and productivity in an environment that promote the highest standards of animal welfare. Highly standard animal scientific research is conducted under the supervision of our Faculty and specialized staff in the Animal House which is managed by the Faculty and in the Animal Health Center. The Faculty is very active in serving its local community and in collaborating with local, regional and international partners.
