Brief description / remarks:
Diwali is a festival of lights and one of the major festivals known in India which emphasize the positive and brightening capabilities within an individual.
In the view of developing positive view of student’s capabilities, Faculty of Life Sciences organized an activity named “Diwali Fest competition” on 19 Nov., 2020. This activity was categorized on the basis of events done during diwali so that students can get aware of rituals and the positivity they carry within them. Categories for fest were:-
- My best Rangoli
- Animal worship
- Light decoration
For the activity, students were free to participate in more than one category. They have actively participated in all different categories suggested and depicted their efficiency in this activity conducted on Google meet at 3:00 PM. The results of the completion are as follow-
- Pooja Tank- Sc. BT (III sem) & Nakshatra Waghela- B. Sc. BT (I sem) were awarded with first prize.
- Vanshika Yadav- Sc. BT (III sem) and Aditi Dubey- B. Sc. BT (I sem) were awarded with second prize.
- Brijraj Singh- Sc. BT (III sem) was awarded with consolation prize.
Judge of the event was Mrs. Taniya Sengupta Rathore Associate Prof., Faculty of Life sciences, MU, Mandsaur. Whole activity was successfully co-ordinated by Ms. Ayushi Malik, and completed with E- certificate distribution. All the faculty members of Faculty of Life sciences contributed for the successful completion of the event.
Outcome: The competition was successfully completed and students presented their creativity appreciatively.
-Students learnt how to design and make things beautiful.
-Students will realize traditional and economical aspects of festivals.
-Students will get motivated towards fine creativities.
