The School of Legal Studies has structured its courses to render professional skills in all fields of law with excellent argumentative skills. The School is always committed to social development by providing facilities for study and research in socially relevant and contemporary areas of law.

This program was introduced to cater to the needs of business and Industry in the changed economic context. Today is the world of specialization and the legal profession also should capable of handling specialized economic needs of the country. To achieve this purpose the Law School offers frontier areas of economic law as elective papers to L.L.B. students. This is in addition to the compulsory course prescribed by the Bar Council of India. The electives include Insurance Law, Banking Law, Space Law, Corporate Finance, Cyber Law, Law of the Sea, Competition Law, International Trade Law, Securities Law etc., designed to meet the needs of the industry. To inculcate the practical skills to law students, legal aid program and frequent debates are also included as part of the curriculum. The University has also taken initiative in sending The L.L.B. students to moot courts both at the national and international level. They are also sent to internship in law firms, chambers of senior advocates, and  NGOs .

Specializations in various branches of law are offered. The most important features of L.L.M. program include weekly seminars, legal aid outreach program and student involvement in the publication of law journal. The course necessitates the students to choose two subjects as their specialization area. In addition to this, the students are also required to study a compulsory paper which focuses on jurisprudential and research aspects and an elective subject in each semester.

Students from other Universities and advocates from different parts of the State are using this library for reference. With the large collection of law books, Journals, the library enjoys a unique and prestigious position as one of the leading law libraries.
