Brief description / remarks:

Faculty of Business Administration and Commerce organized online seminar on “Investor Awareness & SEBI Role” on 23 March 2021, which was delivered by Indrajit Bage, Manager – SEBI ILO, Mr. Lakhan Dabi – Metropolitian Stock Exchange, Indore, Mr. Krishna Gupta – Manager (CDSL) Indore.
The basic objective of session was to make the students aware about the concept of Investment, share market, role of SEBI and despositories. The session started at 11.00 am through webex online portal with warm welcome by Dr. Gopal K Rathore, Prof. Avinash Vikram (HOD) greeted the guest.
In the session speaker highlighted the basics of investment, inflation, investment avenues, demat, depositaries, mutual fund, role of SEBI and depositaries etc. and also discussed the emerging issues in Indian investment market. The session was interactive in nature and the students took participation by raising queries like buying and selling of shares, factors influencing price fluctuation etc. The session concluded with a vote of thanks given by Dr. Gopal K Rathore.

 

Outcome :
• Students gained the knowledge about SEBI roles and share market.
• Students learnt about the working of CDSL and power of compounding.
