Workshop on PLC & SCADA

May 30, 2018

The PLC (“Programmable Logic Controller”) system is the major key in the technology and industrial sector today. PLC or Programmable Logic Controller is the system that makes machinery and systems work automatically. It incorporates three basic features of input, process, and output where everything has to go along well and harmoniously. SCADA is the acronym for “Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition”. SCADA is a computer-based system for gathering and analyzing real-time data to monitor and control equipment that deals with critical and time-sensitive materials or events. A PLC is one of several device types that are deployed at individual locations to provide data and control access to site equipment from a central SCADA console. If the central SCADA console can be described as the brain of SCADA system, then the PLCs are the nerves and muscles. They inform the brain and act on its commands.
