Brief description / remarks:

Department of Journalism & Mass Communication had organized one day National level Webinar on the topic of Public relation during COVID-19’ collaboration with Public relation Society of India, Bhopal chapter, on 17th Oct. 2020 at 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm. The total number of 300+ participants (Students, Research Scholars, and Academicians) from more than 22 states and few candidates from Pakistan also has registered for the Webinar. The Webinar was organized to aware participants about the roles and responsibilities of Public relation during covid-19.

Webinar organizer and Head of Department, Dr. Manish Jaisal welcomed the guest speaker Prof. Pushpendra Pal Singh. He is the chairman of Public Relation Society of India, Bhopal Chapter, as well as Chief Editor, Madhya Pradesh Madhyam, M.P. Govt, Bhopal. In this  webinar Prof. Pushpendra speaks about the objectives of public relation for government. He explained how government is bringing scheme and providing safety to the people during COVID-19. and Public relation is promoting the scheme benefit to aware public about the scheme. Being associated with PRSI Bhopal he discussed the M.P. govt. stand on COVID-19. Professor Pushpendra also took the topic of Migrant workers during covid-19 and had explained how govt. has brought various scheme regarding Migrant workers and needful persons. Appreciating media at the time of pandemic he said they are the foremost important person who are bringing news from the ground and informing people all over the world. He further said gradually government and big Organizations are taking step to re-open the industry.

At, the end of the session department head Dr. Manish asked relevant questions related to role and impact of covid-19 in future and present. The Webinar was Coordinated by Ms. Sonali Singh, Assistant Professor, department of Journalism & Mass Communication.

Outcome:

The Program was organized to aware and strengthens people’s mindset regarding Role of Public Relation during COVID-19. And government schemes to benefit them. Positive and effective feedbacks were received from the participants.

No. of Participants: –

A total of 300+ participants have registered themselves.22 states, 24 Universities and Colleges and few candidates from Pakistan have attended the webinar.
