Demonstration and Explain the Principle of FTIR (Fourier-transform infrared) Instrument.

Demonstration and Explain the Principle of FTIR (Fourier-transform infrared) Instrument.

This session was organized to expertise the student regarding the working of FTIR.

By this type of activity students learnt about the theoretical as well as practical aspects of the FTIR (Fourier-transform infrared) Instrument.  During the demonstration Mr. Karan Gupta taught the students about principle and working mechanism of Sophisticated Instruments. It is the most widely used technique in organic chemistry for the elucidation of structure of unknown compound by producing its IR spectrum or also called as emission spectrum. This technique measures the absorption of infrared radiation by the sample material versus wavelength. The infrared absorption bands identify molecular components and structures.  At the end, students were able to answer about the basics of FTIR Spectroscopy.
