ANNUAL FEST “SPANDAN 2017”
Mandsaur University celebrated its first grand Annual Day on Friday & Saturday, the 7th & 8th April 2017 amidst great zest, vibrancy and elation. Shri Narendra Nahata, Hon’ble Chancellor, Mandsaur University, was the esteemed Chief Guest.
Among other dignitaries present were, Executive Chairman Mr.Rahul Nahata Dr.D.K.Patnaik (Registrar), Dr.Jagdish Khatri Director BMC, Dr. Alpna Gandhi, Principal, Sangeet Mahavidhyalaya, Dr. Usha Agrawal, Professor, PG college, Mandsaur, Mrs. Preeti Bagdi the renowned personality of Mandsaur and Professor Jayant Tare ,Sangeet Mahavidhyalaya honored us by their gracious presence in this event. Principals of various schools, members of the PTA, press, parents and students were also present.
The programme commenced with the lighting of the Ceremonial lamp by the Hon’ble Chief Guest Mr.Rahul Nahata Executive Chairman, Dr. Alpna Gandhi, Principal, Sangeet Mahavidhyalaya, Dr. Usha Agrawal, Professor, PG college, Mandsaur, Mrs. Preeti Bagdi a renowned women entrepreneur of Mandsaur and Professor Jayant Tare Sangeet Mahavidhyalaya, escorted by the other dignitaries and the Principal. This entailed the bouquet presentation. Next, the Dean Academic Dr.Shailendra Sharma, Dean Student Affairs Mr.Ashish Parikh and Dean Corporate Relations Mr.Tapesh K. Dubey formally welcomed the eminent guests and introduced the Hon’ble Chief Guest to the gathering. This was followed by the Prize Distribution Ceremony, where the Hon’ble Chief Guest gave away prizes to the academically meritorious pupils of the University.
The Cultural programme based on the theme ‘Style N Vogue’ commenced with a scintillating ‘Welcome Dance offered to Lord ‘Ganesha’. Next, the first round of Style “N” vogue started where students had shown the culture of Royal Dynasties by putting on different Royal costumes of King and Queens of ancient timings.
It was a depiction of the rich radiant and vibrant culture and eminence, and the mark that India has made over the country and the world.
The ebullient students of the University presented a short film on NSS. Thereafter, the duet and solo song competition commenced where student sung various Bollywood peppy, foot tapping numbers on the theme ‘Tribute to Bollywood 100 years of Indian Cinema’ was a soul stirring depiction of the fact that how Indian society has very well connected their life with Bollywood.
Mandsaur University budding music talents sung melodious numbers on the guitar and also sang a mellifluous song as gap fillers.
The Chief Guest stated that he was very happy to note that Mandsaur University motivates its students by felicitating them with prizes as this serves as an impetus to their stellar performance, consistently. He urged students to hone and sharpen their talents and potentials to not only carve a niche for themselves or bring laurels to University but also aim to bring glory to their state as well as their nation. Education or success, he opined, was incomplete or futile without keeping in view the goal of serving one’s country, He advised students never to forget their school, University which makes them what they are and their parents who make relentless efforts for them to be educated and groomed in a University like Mandsaur University and feel proud on their children’s achievements.
