Anatomy and Physiology Laboratory visit at Mandsaur Institute of Ayurvedic Education and Research
Faculty of Life Sciences organized a visit to Anatomy and Physiology lab for observing human body specimens and working models.The objective of the visit was to advance student’s understanding of human anatomy and pathways of physiology of different organ system.The students of B.Sc Honours Biotechnology II and VI sem. visited the Anatomy and Physiology lab at Mandsaur Institute of Ayurvedic Education and Research, MU, Mandsaur. During the visit, students have seen various preserved isolated human body specimens. Dr. Avidha Singh Assistant Professor, Department of Anatomy at Ayurveda college, demonstrated all the specimens and bones to the students. She also explained the discovery importance of Ayurveda in preserving isolated organs.
Dr. Akhinna Sasidharan Assistant Professor, Department of Physiology at Ayurveda college guided her second year students for demonstrating physiology and functions of different organ system prepared by the students themselves. Dr. Akhinna Sasidharan also explained different instruments used to detect and analyze the proper functioning of various parts of the human body. Students also learnt few basic principles of Ayurveda.
The program was coordinated by Dr. Taniya Sengupta Rathore Assistant Professor, Faculty of Life Science, Mandsaur University and Prof. Meenakshi Jain Assistant Professor, Faculty of Life Science, Mandsaur University.
