Brief description / remarks: Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering organized Online National Webinar for the Students and Faculty members of all streams on the topic “Industrial use of Internet of Things (IoT)” on August 21, 2021. Out of 304 registered participant 101 participated in webinar from various states Telangana, Tamilnadu, Rajasthan, Odisha, Gujrat, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Punjab, Andhrapradesh and MP.

The primary objective of this webinar was to introduce the industrial use of IoT and its application. IoT is an important topic in the technology industry, policy, and engineering circles. Speaker told that IoT has stepped out of its infancy and is on the verge of transforming the current static Internet into a fully integrated Future Internet.

He focuses that a radical evolution of the current Internet into a network of interconnected objects that not only harvests information from the sensing and interacts with the physical world (actuation/command/control) but also uses existing Internet standards to provide services for information transfer, analytics, applications, and communications.

Er. Sanyam has shown his own IoT laboratory views during the session and his current research in Robotics and various applications.

The program continued in the Google meet platform during the session. The feedback form was issued and received positive feedback from participants.

The Convener Dr. Manish Jain presents the welcome note; The Coordinator Mr. Siddheswar Kar introduced the guest speaker to all the participants, and the vote of thanks conveyed by Mr. Virendra Jain HOD EEE.

Outcome: The webinar presents an overview of recent applications in IoT technology.

  • The exposure of IoT interfacing with various sensors brings closer the vision of an Internet of Things.
  • The evolution of the next-generation mobile system will depend on the creativity of the users in designing new applications.
  • IoT   is an ideal emerging technology to influence this domain by providing new evolving application on Robotics.
  • Medical and Agriculture application for next-generation IoT.
