Brief description/ Remarks: 

A workshop has been conducted on “Mushroom Cultivation Technology” by Department of agriculture. The theme of this workshop was “Grow your own Mushroom”. It is an essential activity for students to motivate them for their career prospects and also it is a part of Experiential Learning Program (ELP) / Module of VIII Semester students.

This workshop was started under the guidance of Dr. R.A. Sharma Sir (Director of Department of Agriculture). Mr. Prashant Sinoriya (A.P.)  welcomed everyone, addressed and introduce the history of Mushroom and their commercial importance. In the beginning of this workshop Dr. R.A. Sharma Sir encourage the students to participate in workshop and learning new things for career betterment. Mr. Rahul Aske (A.P.) delivered the unique, creative and informative lecture on Mushroom cultivation, Structure of mushroom, Taxonomic position, Categories of mushroom, Types of mushroom, History of mushroom, Nutrition value of mushroom, Mushroom for health, mushroom production procedure and product marketing.

At the end of the workshop, one interactive session was also held. Mr. Rahul Aske (A.P.) and Mr. Prashant Sinoriya (A.P.) were answering the queries of students. All the faculty members of the department have participated in the workshop and actively contributed to make it a successful event. Mr.Pankaj Dunge (A.P.) Department of Agriculture, Mandsaur University concluded the workshop by delivering vote of thanks to all the participants.

Outcome– All of the workshop participants had a great time and learned a lot about mushroom production, including how to cultivate mushrooms and how to make money from them. Students also heard about the nutritional and medicinal advantages of mushrooms. Students provided positive feedback and showed an interest in engaging in similar activities in the future.
