Mridang 2019
Mandsaur university organized an annual festival for all the departments of the university, under the theme Spandan, celebrating the pulse of the youth. Spandan – a platform of youth cultural event and the majestic variety to highlight the outstanding talent and fine art of the students with the series of various programs. It was a three day event on the 14th – 16th March 2019. The pulse of the campus will be re-energized by the various competitions which showcase the multifaceted talents of students. This festive extravaganza will not only bring new life to the campus but helped the students in developing their personalities in the extracurricular domain.
Mridang – ‘A fusion of culture’
Mandsaur University celebrated its Grand Annual Day “Mridang – a fusion of culture” on Saturday, 16th March 2019 amidst great zest, vibrancy and elation. Shri Narendra Nahata, Hon’ble Chancellor, Mandsaur University, was the esteemed Chief Guest. Among other dignitaries present were, Executive Chairman Mr.Rahul Nahata, Dr. Shailendra Sharma (Vice Chancellor), Prof. Ashish Parikh (Registrar), Mr. Tarun Rajpurohit and Ms. Ankita Bisht honored us by their gracious presence in this event. Various respective members, press, parents and students were also present.
Mridang – a fusion of culture is based on a theme of traditional culture of India with the fusion of bollywood. The program started with Ganesh Vandana along with various cultures of prayer. Thereafter, various dance performance on various cultures like Rajasthani, Marathi, Gujarati, Bengali etc and Skits based on various social cause.
The Vote of thanks was proposed by Prof. Mudita Dave Nagar (Assistant Professor, Computer Application). The smart anchors of the Cultural Programme were Mr. Aritra, Ms. Suman, Mr. Kapil, Ms. Alifiya, Mr. Anmol, Ms. Radha, Ms. Arwa, Mr. Rudraksha and Ms. Shivangi. First position in dance competition secured by Punjabi Group (Saurabh & team), runner up was Rajasthani group (Ayurveda). In Skit competition winning team was Tribute to Soldier and runner up was Student’s life. Best attire award given to south group, B.P.Ed. Students group was awarded as special performance.
