MAHARAAS-2018
Mandsaur University celebrated its annual garba fest “Maharaas 2018” on Saturday 13th October 2018 with great vibrancy and zest. Shri Narendra Nahata, Hon’ble Chancellor, Mandsaur University, was the esteemed Chief Guest of the event Among other dignitaries present were, Executive Chairman Mr. Rahul Nahata, Dr. Shailendra Sharma (Vice Chancellor) Prof. Ashish Parikh (Registrar), Dr. Lokeshvar Singh Jodhana (MU Centralized Activity Head).
The programme commenced with bouquet presentation to the jury members and guest. Mrs. Preeti Rathore (Professor and Active member of Lioness club) and Mrs. Archana Karnawat (Active Social worker) were present and judged the garba competition. Maharaas 2018 was divided into two segments – in first phase 12 different teams belongs to different departments performed on garba tracks. Later on second phase was open for free style garba dance. More than 3000 audiences enjoyed both the segments.
Second runner up was Computer Application department, First runner up was pharmacy department and Engineering mix department was declared as winner. During free style garba dance, various awards like best performer and best dress up were announced. During the program, cake cutting ceremony was organized for the founder member of MU family Shri Surendra Nahata ji. Garba night was ended with the crackers show. The whole event was coordinated by IBC team members (Ms. Anuja Surana, Mr. Avinash Vikram, Ms. Urvashi Anand) & Mr. Anurag Trivedi.
